Introduction:
Welcome to the Ngatumek Primary School Lunch project by the La Dignidad Foundation - Kenya. We are dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of the children at Ngatumek Primary School in Kericho. With an enrollment of approximately 360 students from PP1 to 6th grade, these children walk up to 3 kilometers to school every day. We believe that a well-fed child is a strong, attentive, and happy child and an attentive child learns better and achieves more in life.
Our Mission:
At La Dignidad Foundation, we are on a mission to make a meaningful impact, one school at a time. Our goal is to provide nutritious, diverse, and balanced meals to the students at Ngatumek Primary School, moving beyond the traditional maize-and-beans fare. We believe that by partnering with local farmers and markets, we can provide the children with delicious and nourishing meals that will empower them to thrive academically and personally.
